Dear All participants of the Ayodele Herbals 14-day detoxification challenge, August 2024.
I am pleased to share a customized Nigerian meal plan for the 14-day detoxification challenge from Sunday, August 18th, to Saturday, August 31st, 2024.
This plan has been created in response to requests from my Nigerian and African clients, both at home and abroad, who want to incorporate familiar foods into their detoxification journey.
Please remember that you can adjust the plan according to your needs and dietary restrictions, although it is advisable to consult your healthcare professional. As your coach and partner in a fulfilled life, I will support and guide you through this process.
Days 1-2
- Breakfast: Akara (fried bean cakes) with fruit salad and green tea- Lunch: Chicken pepper soup with brown rice- Dinner: Roasted plantains and steamed vegetables
Days 3-4
-Breakfast: Oatmeal with banana
-Lunch: Vegetable egusi soup with amala or millet
-Dinner: Turkey, jollof rice, and steamed green beans
Days 5-6
-Breakfast: Salad vegetables, pineapple, and coconut milk
-Lunch: Chicken, mixed greens salad
-Dinner: Stew or slow-cooked okra soup with brown rice
Days 7-8
-Breakfast: Coconut rice pudding with fresh fruit
-Lunch: Grilled fish, steamed vegetables, and whole wheat semovita
-Dinner: Baked chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, and steamed broccoli
Days 9-10
- Breakfast: Whole wheat puff-puff with fresh fruit salad
- – Lunch: Beans soup with whole wheat amala
- Dinner: Shrimp, steamed asparagus, and quinoa
Days 11-12
- Breakfast: Green smoothie with spinach, avocado, and coconut milk
- Lunch: Chicken, mixed greens salad with whole wheat plantain chips
- – Dinner: Catfish, roasted plantains, and steamed vegetables
Days 13th-14th
- Breakfast: Oatmeal with banana-
- Lunch: Vegetable egusi soup with Amala
- Dinner: Turkey, jollof rice, and steamed green beans
Snacks- Fresh fruits, roasted plantain chips, trail mix with nuts and seeds
Beverages- Lemon water, herbal teas, coconut water,
Wonder Mix Tea
Supplement: Detoxid
Tips-
Drink at least eight glasses of water per day-
Engage in 30 minutes of physical activity daily, such as walking, jogging, skipping, or yoga-
Avoid processed foods, sugar, caffeine, and sugary foods
Eat in moderations.
Portion your food sizes. Avoid overeating
Your eating window runs from 12 noon to 7.00 pm.
No night eating please
